Quality Teaching for Every Child

• We need to invest in the future of Massachusetts, and ensure that every child - regardless of class, race, or gender - receives an excellent education.



• We need to make sure that children enter school ready to learn by supporting pre-school programs and making sure families have access to good healthcare and nutrition.



• At school, we need small class sizes and well-paid, high-performing teachers. We need to hold our schools accountable for quality teaching in every classroom.



• We need to make sure that higher education remains affordable and accessible. Today, for the first time, the state of Massachusetts is spending more on prisons than on higher education. We need to change that.



• In today's knowledge-based economy, we need to support adult basic education - helping parents get the skills they need to provide for their families strengthens our whole community.



• Avi has served as classroom teacher at the elementary school level. As a volunteer, Avi has also taught General Equivalency Diploma courses for adults and served as a math tutor for children at Cambridge Ridge and Latin High School.
