Dear Friend,

It’s time for a change. As a former teacher and a community activist, I have been working for years to help neighbors make things change for the better.

I am running for State Representative because we need to do more. We need to increase access to quality, affordable healthcare. We need to create good jobs. We need to make sure that corporations pay their fair share. Our state government is not getting the job done.

Somerville and Cambridge deserve a State Representative who will work hard every day to make a difference. As a community leader, I have helped organize Somerville residents to fight for better public transportation. I have taught job skills to young adults and tutored children at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. I have helped neighbors come together to keep our air and water clean, safe, and healthy.

I am proud to be a Democrat. I support a woman’s right to choose. I do not think we should write discrimination into the Massachusetts State Constitution. I support gun control laws to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. I oppose the death penalty.

At heart, this campaign is about making our communities better – creating good jobs and investing in healthcare, public transportation, and education. As a Democrat, I will fight to make sure that government works efficiently and effectively for everyone.

It is time to put our state government back on track. I hope you will join me in this campaign to make life better for the residents of Somerville and Cambridge.

Sincerely,

Avi Green
